Draycott in Bloom

About Draycott in Bloom

‘Draycott in Bloom’, now in its third year, is supported by the ‘Draycott Village Fund‘ which has been fund raising and supporting various events in Draycott since 2012. All the various events and activities are supported and run by volunteers from all around the village. Activities include: Draycott in Bloom Draycott Open gardens Tea with Friends The Draycott Scarecrow Festival The Draycott Yard Sale The Dickensian Christmas Market The  Wellie planting workshop Draycott’s ‘Picnic in the Park’ Flag pole and Christmas tree installations around the village The Memorial garden on South street The ‘Dibbers’ group. Planting projects throughout the village The Draycott Village Fund works hard all year putting on village events for the community. Some of these events, like the Scarecrow Festival, Open Gardens and the Yard Sale do generate an income that can be channelled back into other Draycott projects and events. The DVF have been very proud to support the Draycott In Bloom campaign financially and work hand-in-hand with them throughout the year. The DVF alone however would not be able to support Draycott In Bloom on their own and the sponsorship raised from both local business and private donations is vital for the continued development of this amazing village project. Draycott on Bloom would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of our financial supporters and look forward to a  summer and beyond of village planting, installations and floral displays. We would also like to thank both Erewash Borough Council, Derbyshire County Council and Draycott Parish Council for their support throughout the year.
